The Ancient Siam Civilization of Wat Choeng Tha
Wat Choeng Tha is a beautiful temple north of the small river arm of the Chao Phraya. There is a lot to see at this ancient temple which dates back to before A.D. 1350. The principal prang-shaped pagoda, the Viharn and Ubosot along with 18 smaller pagodas of different styles can still be seen today. On the prang's side are still stucco reliefs of standing Buddha images. A modern prayer hall and a historic sermon hall, which functions as a beautiful museum, offer lots of details to be seen as well.
