Wat Wang Chai

Wat Wang Chai is also located in Suan Somdet Phrasinakharin Park. It is also located on a small island, being fenced in by moats. Only remains of the temple walls and a large Chedi remain today. Parts of a large seated Buddha image are still visible in the ruins of the Ubosot. Seeing this temple and many others in this park was very eye-opening with regards to the massive destruction the ancient city of Ayutthaya had gone through with the Burmese invasion.
