The Ancient Siam Civilization of Wat Chakrawat
Wat Chakrawat. is also called Wat Chao Mon, probably for Mon people living in the area of the temple. It's remains stand right next to the road and are surrounded by a moat. We were told that the temple was already mentioned in the early chronicles of Ayutthaya, thus it should date back to before A.D. 1350. A large bell-shaped Chedi is the most noticeable structure of the temple.
