Wat Phra Pai Luang

Outside of the now old city lies this temple which formed the ealier center of Sukhothai. The temples here are the oldest ones in the area. Formerly this was a Khmer site from the 12th century which was later converted into a Teravada Buddhist Temple. Pagodas and the Viharn were added as a result.
