Wat Kamphaeng Laeng
Wat Kamphaeng Laeng is a
very different temple in Phetchaburi. It is the biggest and oldest historical
site of the city featuring a Khmer prang from the 12th century. It
was initially a Hindu place of worship, which was later converted to a Buddhist
sanctuary. As a Hindu shrine there would have been 5 prangs in one compound of
which three are still standing today.
