Wat Yai Suwannaram 

Wat Yai Suwannaram was under renovation when we visited but we were still able to admire the murals of the Ayutthaya period inside the Ubosot. Inside is a Buddha image in the posture of subduing mara called Phra Prathan Wat Yai Suwanaram.   Next to the Ubosot is Sala Kanparian, a multipurpose hall, which is built entirely of teak. It is believed to have been the former residence of King Suea of Ayutthaya. On our first visit the sala was closed so we had to come back and were able to admire the beautiful hall in 2005.
