Wat Khao Krailat
Wat Khao Krailat is the temple on top of the mountain Khao Krailat. This is an old temple, which stands picturesquely among kuti’s, the monk’s houses and a large white Buddha statue amongst the trees. From here one has a great view of the sea and the nearby Khao Takiap with all its tourists and worshippers as well as the beaches and hotels. The temple only had a handful of monks and nuns when we visited for the second time in 2005. The abbot of the temple was over 90 years old and was still kind enough to spend some time with us.
