Wat Phayaphraek

 This temple, which is now completely in ruins,  sits right next to Wat Mahathat. It was a nice and shady surprise, since we didn't read anything about it before we came here. Given the heat in February, we used the shade for a nice break. The temple is part of the ancient city, which existed here during the Dvaravati period.
