Wat Mahathat

 Wat Mahathat is in the Ancient City Park and was constructed during the Sukhothai period. This is a very peaceful area with many trees and moats around the temple structures. The bell shaped Chedi housed several votive tablets which were stolen. The site here is the Ancient City of Phichit, founded in 1058 A.D.
