Wat Hiranyaram
Wat Hiranyaram or Wat Bang Khlan is far south of Phichit city in a small village on the River Nan Kao. At first the outside buildings appeared closed but then we were asked in and visited the temples museum which contains many Buddha images and antiques. A highly revered monk, called Luang Pho Ngoen, stayed here during the rainy season once and is now enshrined in the museum as a life size statue. Leaving from here on the way back to Nakhon Sawan, I hit the worst roads I had ever been on (worse than New York City's), where I only dreamt of my 4Runner back home!
