Wat Ratchaburana
Wat Ratchaburana stands along the Nan River and offers a good view of the boat houses and river restaurants. When I visited here the first time one of the monks announced my name and country over the loudspeaker. The temple actually offers a lot to see. It is an ancient temple that was build during the Sukhothai period. Relics of Lord Buddha are kept in one of the main buildings and the Ubosot features paintings depicting the Rammakian. Definitely worth one or more visits and a quiet alternative to the busy Wat Mahathat across the street.
