Temples of Thailand - a photographic journey Bangkok Area Provinces: Central North North-East West South East
|
Wat Thammanimit
The first temple we visited on the way south in Chonburi town thanks to it being mentioned in Mark Standen's excellent book "Buddha in the Landscape". We wanted to see the impressive Phra Phuttha Mongkhon Nimit statue, whose posture is like sitting European style aboard a ship. One walks up through a graveyard on the slopes of a hill amongst the trees.
