Wat Pa Lelai
Wat Pa Lelai is the location of the ancient city of Kanchanaburi. It's on the way to Erawan National Park. It was an ancient border town during the Ayutthaya period. A large seated Buddha image is part of the small compound which features also a ruined chedi and a building which houses several Buddha images. The ruined walls have now been covered with a modern roof top. The large Buddha image with a money and an elephant represents the generally entitled Phra Phuttha Palalai image. This episode in Buddha gestures means that His needs were taken care of even by the members of the animal kingdom. This is a good image for those born on Wednesday evening.
