Wat Soi Thong

 Wat Soi Thong left a special impression in my memory. We came here to make tamboon (merit making) but it was not the same as is most other temples. Here it is actually a whole group of people making tamboon together. A large white sheet is then placed over the heads of the whole group while praying. The main Buddha image at Wat Soi Thong is Phra Buddha Patimakorn, which is the second of two identical images. The other image is placed in Wat Chumphon Rangsan in Chumphon province. We were also lucky as the Ubosot was opened specially for us so we could take pictures and show our respect to the Buddha image in there. The inside of the Ubosot is also elaborately decorated with murals in a more modern style.
