Wat Bang Khae Yai
Wat Bang Khae Yai is an old temple we visited in 2004 after our not so enjoyable visit to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. The temple is located in Samut Songkhram Province southwest of Bangkok. Five years later, in 2009, we went back to the temple again. More tourists seem to come nowadays because signs are put up to guide visitors around the temple. Inside the monks quarters is a beautiful mural painting on a wooden wall which depicts the battle between the Siamese army with the Burmese invaders. The temple dates back to A.D. 1814 with the main prayer hall being more than 150 years old.
