Wat Sathatham
Wat Sathatham is one of the most beautiful temples we have seen so far. It is located on the way to Don Hoi Lot a 5 Kilometer long strip of sandy beach known for its clams. The temple was made from golden teak wood and the inner walls are decorated with pearl inlay depicting the life of Buddha and the Ramayana epic. On another visit to the temple five years later in 2009 however we found that the temple was run a bit too much like a business. We were almost talked into merit-making in a too forceful way.
