Wat Sri Chum
Phrae is a very quiet city. Walking from one temple to another gives you a good impression on the local lifestyle. After Ban Vongburi we had lunch at a small restaurant before making it down to Wat Sri Chum, where we were greeted by a very talkative female, who spoke excellent English. In December 2004 the buildings seemed to have just undergone renovation. A large standing statue of Buddha fills one of the buildings and behind it is a 16th century brick chedi. Noteworthy are also the beautifully decorated gables of the two buildings.
