Wat Phra That Chae Haeng
Located just outside of the city of Nan, this is one of those temples which takes a long time to visit for serious worshippers. There is also a lot of detail to see here. For photographers, this is also one of those temples which is best visited in the late afternoon, since it faces west. The 55 or 56 meter high chedi can be seen from far and all the way up the long naga staircase. We were particularly impressed with the laotian-style Viharn and the Sukhothai-style image of Phra Chao Lanthong. Outside the compound is a large reclining Buddha image in the Viharn Sayat.
