Wat Ton Laeng

Wat Ton Laeng was next on our list of temple along the country roads in Northern Nan. While the outside of the temple is also beautiful, since it does not resemble any temple style I had seen before, we were disappointed to find the wat closed. However we found one young monk and an older caretaker of the temple who were organizing a key for us.  Inside the temple building is a statue of Luang Pho Mahani Khotareuk. The dark lit interior and the quietness of this remote temple gave it a very special atmosphere.
