Wat Nong Daeng

Wat
Nong Daeng

Last temple on our first trip through the Province of Nan was Wat Nong Daeng, about 70 km north of the city of Nan. The style of the viharn resembles that of the just visited Wat Ton Laeng.  It is Tai Lue-style with many banners hanging from the ceiling. The Buddha image sits on a special throne like construction flanked by two naga's. Like in the other Tai Lue temples there is so many details to see that we had to do several rounds. Strolling through the temple compound will reveal more to see. Driving to and from this temple rewarded us with many scenic views of the country and, at the time of our trip, the rice harvest.
