Wat Ming Muang
Finally we came to Wat Ming Muang, before we mistakenly visited Wat Mung Muang. This temple is so richly decorated that every side offers new and exciting details. Already the red gate with its statues and a beautifully decorated doors with mystical beings in gold and colored glass is worth to be seen. The viharn has very low and wide proportions and beautifully carved panels on the outside walls. But also the inside is breathtaking and offers small details everywhere, like a base for the main Buddha image made with small elephants in white and gold. A white chedi with Burmese-style Buddha images stands behind the wooden viharn. A really nice place to visit, had not one of the dogs taken the chance to bite me before we left again :-(
