Wat Klang Wiang

Wat Klang Wiang

Wat Klang Wiang was another "photographic" treat in the city of Chiang Rai.  Every part of this temple is richly decorated and to my surprise there were two large wooden standing clocks in the main prayer hall instead of the otherwise non-decorative clocks which normally hang somewhere. The temple stands on the exact center of the city and the beautiful chedi with fully attired elephant statues at the base stands where initially a huge red chan tree once stood.
