Wat Phra That Doi Tung
Also located in the beautiful mountains along the border of Myanmar is the Doi Tung Shrine. It was the first shrine in Lanna built in 911 to store relics of Buddha's left shoulder. Later, more relics were added, therefore there are two chedi's here. It is a very popular place of worship and very crowded, specially the parking area is creating Bangkok-style traffic situations. For those who want to avoid the "parking jam" I can recommend walking the last bit up the hill through rows of bronze bells, which line the way.
