Wat Prasat

Wat Prasat was the first temple we visited on our second extended trip to Chiang Mai (hence the various copyright dates on the Chiang Mai pages). This is an old temple with a beautifully preserved Viharn. At the place where the altar is normally located a small tunnel leads inside the chedi behind it with a large Buddha image, called Phra Pratan. A beautiful example of Lanna Art.
