Phra Mahathat Chedi Noppaphonpumsiri
While this is not a temple, it is an important site for Thai people and for Buddhists in Thailand. It is located on the road up to Doi Inthanon, the highest mountain in Thailand. This is within the settings of the National Park and a fee must be paid (specially by non-Thai nationals) to even get up here. Phra Mahathat chedi Noppaphonpumsiri was constructed in commemoration of H.M. The Queen's 60th Birthday and contains a white standing Buddha image and beautiful decorations on the inside and outside walls.
