Wat Kong Kan
Further along the country roads in Mae Chaem Valley is Wat Kong Kan our second highlight here. It was built in 1431 by the rulers of Chiang Mai, Phrae and Chiang Saen. The presiding Buddha image in the Phra Ubosot is Phra Chao Ton Luang which is of local craftsmanship-style. The temple is located in a small rice farmer's village next to the rice fields in an absolute picturesque setting.
