Wat Nuea
Wat Nuea or Nue is a beautiful and very quiet temple. It was one of the cleanest temples I had ever seen. It is surrounded by a cloister that shields it against the noise from the outside and an old tree in the back provides a welcome shade in the summer heat (we visited during April). The main Buddha image inside the Ubosot is a beautiful Isan-style seated image. During our first visit in 2006 the temple was closed so we went back at the end of 2008 to ask the abbot for permission to open it for us, which allowed us to pay our respect to the Buddha image.
