Wat Phra Buddha Nimitpukao

A long drive from Kalasin city leads to this beautiful temple that houses Phra Buddha Saiyat Pukao which is carved into the cliff below the temple buildings. The image lies on the right side instead of the left side. It was created about 2000 years ago. There are several other buildings on the compound like a beautiful teakwood Ubosot and a building that is covered from top to bottom with Buddha images of all sizes. A lot of  people visit this place of religious significance as are a fair number of tourists.
