Wat Phra Lao Thepnimit 

Far from the main route in Amnat Charoen province we came across an impressive and beautiful Lanna-style Ubosot. The temple was so beautiful that we actually entered it a second time when we were already about to leave. The main Buddha is one of the most beautiful images we had seen and was created by Vientiane artists with a Lanna influence in 1720. This temple alone makes a trip to the North-East worthwhile and was one of our highlights during the 2nd Isan trip we did.
