Wat Tung Sri Wilai
Wat Tung Sri Wilai was a short stop on our way from Amnat Charoen to Ubon Ratchathani. The old Ubosot was under renovation in March 2006 and we could only get a glimps at the Buddha images which were covered up, specially the old ones. So, surely we had to do another trip and thus visited the temple again during the Rocket Festival season of 2007. Three ancient images were now displayed in the beautiful building, in the middle Phraputwiset Venerable Monk, which is said to be over 1000 years old. All three images are highly respected by local people and throughout Isan. Go back one temple Next temple
