Wat Sra Trai Nurak
Wat Sra Trai Nurak was one of our favorite temples in the province of Yasothon. Located far in the back country we had to cross several villages where local people stopped us, celebrating and asking for gifts for the local temples. The temple is located in the middle of fields and forests and contains one of the most beautiful Hoh Trai buildings (scripture halls). The wooden Thai Yai-style structure sits in a beautiful pond with lotus flowers. Also the main temple buidling is beautifully decorated and a picturesque site. We met a friendly monk in the temple and learned quite a bit about the temple's history and today's situation. A worthwhile trip into the country from Yasothon City. Go back one temple Next temple
