Wat Phrom Wihan 

Wat Phrom Wihan is in the town of Loeng Nok Tha in the Northeast of the province Yasothon. One normally doesn't come here as a tourist, but we know local people who wanted to show us their temple. Disappointingly it was closed and we could not even find anyone to talk with. Funnily we were asked by a food delivery boy on a motorcycle where to drop off the food in the temple. The temple has a beautifully decorated chedi and when we visited in March 2006 work was still going on to build a huge Buddha statue. Even during our visits in 2007 and 2008 work on the Buddha was not yet finished.
