Wat Chet Yot

Wat Chet Yot is 1.5 km outside the city on the superhighway (forget whatever you imagine about that name). It was here where the 8th World Buddhist Council was held in 1477. The main structure is build similarly to the Mahabodhi Temple in India. Besides the stucco work on the main structure there is other beautiful buildings on the temple grounds like the viharn and three other chedis.
