Wat Umong Suan Putthatham

This is the 'other' Wat Umong in Chiang Mai. It is a few kilometers to the southwest of the city. It is a good example of a forest temple, for monks who want to get away from the distractions of the city.  It is very secluded in a wooden area and features a chedi on top of a number of tunnels and underground meditation cells, which should be visited with the utmost respect.
