Wat Phochai Ban Nong Hang

Wat Phochai is hidden on a small country road in the North-East of Kalasin. It is a small and quiet temple and contains an old ubosot, which was in very bad condition when we visited in August 2006. We were told that the government had promised to do some renovation work, but nothing had happend for years. As a result the roof was leaking and parts of it blew up and down in the wind. There were huge mounts of red ants in front of the entrance and mushroom grew on the floor inside. Very sad to see such a building deteriorate.
