Wat Tung Saliem

Most people who visit Sukhothai province just go to the Sukhothai Historical Park. However, the other districts of the province also have a lot to offer. One of my favourite Buddha statues, Luang Phor Sila, is enshrined in Wat Tung Saliem. The Lopburi-style image is more than 800 years old and had been stolen for many years until it was brought back from the U.S.A.
