Phra That Nong Khai

The Phrathat Nong Kai is not a temple but rather a chedi along the Mekong River on the eastern side of Nong Khai City. From here one has a great view onto Laos and to the west towards Nong Khai. While the chedi itself seems to be older, the decorations and statues are all newer and had just been renovated when we visited in 2006. The walls of the lower level were just being painted in a more modern but still beautiful style.
