Wat Doi Saket

Wat Doi Saket is located on the hill overlooking the village of Doi Saket to the north-east of Chiang Mai in a rural setting.  Several buildings and a large seated Buddha image, called Phra Buddha Pathimakorn  can be seen from far. In the main temple hall are several white Buddha statues and beautiful modern mural paintings which cover the entire walls. This is a busy site on weekends, when people come to make merit and visit the mountain top temple buildings and the big white chedi.
