Wat Phra That Phanom Din
Wat Phra That Panom Din was the first temple we visited in this province, yet it is already the 630th temple we had been too. We never got around to stop in Surin before, so we planned a seperate trip for the rainy season 2007. This is a large temple in Tha Tum along Highway 214. Besides a large white Buddha statue and the remains of an important monk in the Viharn, the temple has a tall Ubosot and a newly constructed Chedi on it's large temple ground. There is also a footprint of Lord Buddha behind the Viharn.
