Wat Buddha Saiyaram

Wat Buddha Saiyaram is also located on the north side of Nong Han Lake. Christian churches line the way to this area. The temple has an old ubosot, which is covered with stucco paintings on the outside walls. The building is in bad need for repair  though. To the side of it is an attempt to build a new building, which seems to have stalled some time ago. The modern viharn houses an ancient Ayutthaya-period reclining Buddha image. We had a long talk with one of the two monks residing at the temple in 2007 and learned about the temples history and today's issues. It's a long way out here but a worthwhile trip.
