Wat Klang
Wat Klang in Nakhon Phanom city is also located along the Mekhon River. The Ubosot, with it's huge border stone markers, contains a seated Buddha image. In 2007 the Buddha image was about to get a new coat of gold colour. As this had been completed in 2008, we went back for another visit, only to find the temple under renovation again. A burned down candle had set parts of the building on fire and the Abbot and other monks were just about to clean up the damage. From here, one has a great view over into Laos with it's impressive mountain range.
