Wat Pa Wiwek

In a small village hidden behind the trees along the Mekong river is Wat Pa Wiwek, one of those remote country temples we like to visit. Several Buddha images are located in the otherwise plain Ubosot and a huge reclinging Buddha image is located outside. A new roof was just being constructed when we visited in 2007. The abbot of the temple was so kind to join us for praying and paying respect to the Buddha images in the Ubosot. A special we had asked for because it was my birthday when we visited.
