Wat Pho Sila
We came to Wat Pho Sila for the documented Sema stones which were said to exist here. An older monk showed us around and explaind that the old Ubosot was not in good shape anymore. Like with many other historic buildings in Thailand, the temples are waiting for the government to react and fund the renovation work. While this is pending, nothing can be done with the building and sometimes it is too late. The sema stones were gone. The owner of the land where the stones were found and then placed in this temple, asked for their return because his family fell sick. Returning the stones had restored health in his family accordingly. One of the sema stones was hit by a construction truck and broke. An interesting small temple with a lot of history and stories. By the way, the sign at the gate of the temple was wrong too because the construction crew confused it's name with another temple :-)
