Temples of Thailand - a photographic journey
Bangkok Area Provinces: Central North North-East West South East
Wat Sing Tha
Wat Sing Tha is an old temple in the city of Yasothon behind the shops and some chinese temples. Main attraction is the beautiful Ubosot with Lion figures in the front and back and beautifully decorated windows and doors. Next to the temple are some of the original shop houses of Yasothon. As many temples in Yasothon, this one was also closed when we visited the first time in 2007. However in May 2008 we found a friendly monk who opened the Ubosot for us and we were able to pay our respect to the huge Buddha image of Phra Sing Rit Prap Ong Man, which actually faces the river rather than looking east.
