The Ancient Siam Civilization of Wat Samanakot
Wat Samanakot is an ancient temple on the eastern side of the river in Ayutthaya. It is said to have been constructed around the 14th-15th century A.D. A large white Buddha image with some ruins can be seen from the street passing by. A bell shaped- chedi and a hall are further inside the temple's grounds. A 600 year old impressive Buddha image sits inside the hall.
