Wat Thammachak Semaram
Wat Thammachak Semaran consists of a modern temple building and an 11.7 meter long reclining Buddha image. Some sources say that it is the largest reclining Buddha image but that is surely not true, as I have seen bigger ones. It is however made of ancient sema stones, which are the stones that mark the sacred area of a Buddhist temple and it is relatively old. It is believed to have been build during the Dvaravati period, which would then make it more than 1000 years old. The image is now being covered up, which does protect the image, but the construction itself makes it really hard to photograph it.
