Wat Thong Nophakhun
Wat Thong Nophakhun is also in Klong Sarn District of Bangkok. It's a beautiful temple from the outside and we could not see anything inside since both the entrance gates and the doors of the temple were locked when we visited. There were also no monks insight. The temple was founded during the Ayutthaya period. In August 2012 I met a monk from Wat Thong Nophakun in another temple and he invited me to the morning prayer, so the next morning I was punctually in the temple. It was amazing to see the beautiful inside of the Ubosot, the famous mural paintings by Khrua In Khong and the presiding Buddha image. I did get a personal tour of the Ubosot before the prayer. The windows of the Ubosot, which can only be seen in this form here at this temple, are even more spectacular from up close. Surely not my last visit to Wat Thong Nophakhun.
