Wat Sra Bua Kaeo
For centuries Buddhist murals have been painted in Thai temples. Wat Sra Bua Kaeo is a temple, whose walls are almost entirely covered with murals. Inspired by western realism, the paintings here are part of the so-called second phase of the Rattanakosin mural paintings (1851-1910). The temple itself is far from any main tourist path in Thailand in the province of Khon Kaen along side a small country highway.
