Wat Ketmakee Sri Wararam
Wat Ketmakee is a huge temple on the side of the main highway from Bangkok to Phetchaburi. We had driven by this temple many times and never found the time to visit it until September 2007, which turned out to be a quite interesting visit. In the huge temple hall are three large Buddha images and one small white marble image of Phra Buddha Sihing. In the temple building the monks were working out with barbells, something we had never seen before. The images available for "rent" had a very high price and we felt somewhat un-easy at the pressure also from the nuns at the temple to spend money. If you don't have money, you will not find this temple a place for pure worship but an interesting temple to visit.
