Wat Ban Mae Goed Luang

We were drawn to Wat Ban Mae Goed Luang in the village with the same name by the loud festival music we heard. A large festival was going on when we visited for the ground breaking of a new building to house the remains of the highly revered monk Than Phra Kru Siri Rattanapon (Kru Ba Ganchayo Ganjano). Several friendly elderly ladies told us the story about the temple and showed us around. As with most country temples it is the old people only who are around for these festivals.
